Fly Like An Eagle - Steve Miller Band

(photo via)In May 1976, Steve Miller Band released their 9th studio album, Fly Like An Eagle. The album rocketed up the charts, and went platinum four times over. This show finds SMB at the height of their success, and sounding very good. The album’s title track was originally recorded in 1973 with a blusier, less funk-infused sound. However, the song’s guitar hook actually originated from Miller’s 1969 recording of “My Dark Hour,” featuring Paul McCartney.

What is The Butter Room?
The Butter Room was built to spread and discuss live music. The contributors of this site all volunteer their time to provide the content. We do this as a labor of love. Our name, The Butter Room, references an small, low-lit room in a Virginia Tech Fraternity with nothing but a few benches and tables. You go there to get away from all distractions and have a conversation, which is what we want to foster here: a place where you can get away from all the distractions of life to enjoy and discuss live music.
