Seems the Truckers are gonna make the NUCI SPACE Benefit on January 15th pretty darn interesting this year. How ‘bout this?…you tell us what to play. Two winners are going to write the setlist for The Rock Show. Sorry, guys, no Jason songs allowed. Seems it has to be a song sang by a current member fo the band. Anywho, rules are below. Gawd, I love this band. Good Luck!!

Yes, YOU CAN MAKE DBT’s SET LIST FOR The Annual NUCI’S SPACE BENEFIT 1/15/09!!!!

As everyone knows, DBT never uses a set list for our shows.
We decide the first song as we are walking onto the stage then it’s anything goes.
Sometimes it works better than others, but it always keeps us on our toes and I think makes for a more interesting Rock Experience.
That said, for this night we want to do something different.
We want to select two people to come up with a dream set list that we will play on our Thursday Night 40 Watt Show.
The winners will also get a signed handwritten set list of the show (signed by everyone), get to attend a private meet and greet with the band and be given access to the VIP section (with a guest) for the show.

BEST OF ALL, ALL PROCEEDS FROM THIS WILL GO TO NUCI’S SPACE.

Here’s how it works:
(Two Different Ways)

1. YOU CAN BID ON IT.
We will hold an online auction and the highest bidder will get to select ten songs of his / her choice for the band to play at the show.

2. YOU CAN BUY A CHANCE ON IT.
We will sell chance tickets for $10.00 a piece for a drawing. The winner will also get to pick ten songs that the band will play at the show. If any of the songs are already picked by the above winner, you can select another.

There are some limitations, as set lists will have to be limited to songs sung by current members of the band.
Unreleased songs (like After The Scene Dies, Runaway Train, etc.) will have to be discussed (those two are certainly eligible but some might be limited due to time restraints, as we would hate to suck them up). Same with covers; if it’s one we all still know we’ll be happy to include it, but due to our recording schedule the week before the show we won’t really have an opportunity to learn that crazy Yes cover you always dreamed of DBT playing.
Still with over 100 songs in play it is a chance to customize your listening and viewing pleasure in unprecedented ways.

The only other major limitation is we would like to sequence it to insure a stellar flow of the show.
We will pick songs for the encore.

Then on Thursday January 15th, you and a guest can come, see an amazing set by South San Gabriel, a fantastic set by The Whigs, meet and greet DBT, and watch from the VIP section a DBT set custom tailored to your wildest Rock Desire.
After the show you can leave all aglow from both the ROCK and knowing that you have helped a great cause!
