3.19.09 - Beacon Theater, New York, NYMuch attention was paid to Phish’s Page McConnell and Trey Anastasio sitting in with ABB following their return in Hampton, but even more stellar was Eric “God” Clapton’s second set appearance on March 19th. Enjoy the melodic flurry of guitar covering one of Hendrix’s finest works.

11.29.07 - Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, London, EnglandA rare Muddy Waters cover by two of the greats at the legendary London club. This was during Jeff Beck’s two night run which featured sit ins from Clapton, Joss Stone, Leo Green, the Big Town Playboys, and Imogen Heap. The audience for the show, which was only 200 strong (the venue’s capacity), featured an equally star studded lineup, as Paul McCartney, Jimmy Paige, and Jon Bon Jovi were all in attendance.
Too much musical bliss on this one to just pick one song. More to come.

What is The Butter Room?
The Butter Room was built to spread and discuss live music. The contributors of this site all volunteer their time to provide the content. We do this as a labor of love. Our name, The Butter Room, references an small, low-lit room in a Virginia Tech Fraternity with nothing but a few benches and tables. You go there to get away from all distractions and have a conversation, which is what we want to foster here: a place where you can get away from all the distractions of life to enjoy and discuss live music.
