May 1968 - Esher DemosTwenty-eight years ago today, John Lennon’s life was taken in a senseless act of violence. John would now be 68 years old, and while a life dedicated to peace, love, and art was tragically cut short, his message to the world still resonates loud and clear - perhaps more appropriately than ever before: work together and change is possible.
This version of Revolution comes from a 23-song accoustic session known as “The Esher Demos” which captures many of the songs that would eventually comprise the White Album.

What is The Butter Room?
The Butter Room was built to spread and discuss live music. The contributors of this site all volunteer their time to provide the content. We do this as a labor of love. Our name, The Butter Room, references an small, low-lit room in a Virginia Tech Fraternity with nothing but a few benches and tables. You go there to get away from all distractions and have a conversation, which is what we want to foster here: a place where you can get away from all the distractions of life to enjoy and discuss live music.
