Phish - 9/17/2000 - Merriweather Post Pavillion, Columbia, MD.

This is one of my favorite The Curtain With versions. Quite a good “With” and wonderful show at my hometown venue taboot.

That version was from Merriweather Post Pavillion in Columbia, MD, I recently returned to Merriweather for my first show there of any kind in over 5 years. It was a different experience but it was very nice to see Matt from The Butter Room as well as some old friends who I had the pleasure of meeting at Merriweather 8 years ago for the first time.

Merriweather was not the best show for the boys of Phish in 2009, no one will argue with that, but none the less, they had their moments of phunky fresh face melting without a doubt. I personally enjoyed every second.

I had my wife Gretchen along for her 3rd show and my good friend Brad along for his 2nd show. Neither of them had been to Merriweather before. Its such a nice venue (albeit with crap lots because of cops) to see a show at. Merriweather has been a mainstay in my life and I’ve always had great luck meeting new people there who I always seem to maintain a friendship with.

This time I got to share it with almost everyone I could have hoped for.
