Pulaski Archives

I took a tour of the historic Rockwood Manor Bed & Breakfast today. The owner, Frank Drummond, was very cool and showed me around. The house is huge and has been in his family for generations. There are six large bedrooms upstairs and a few more downstairs. The detail of the crown molding and the vaulted ceilings is incredible.
This is a great place to just get away and with my wedding anniversary coming up, I think this would be an ideal choice for a quiet evening alone.
I was actually there on business, but also to see the property for the first time. We helped Frank move his Web site to a new server last year when his old host closed down. Frank is also a member of the Friends of Pulaski non-profit group that is tirelessly working to restore the old Pulaski Theatre.
I was fortunate enough to take a tour of the Theatre not too long ago and the progress they have made is astounding. It reminds me of the renovations to the Lyric in Blacksburg back in the 90s.
Once completed, I plan to tour the renovated historic theatre and write a review. Pulaski is working desperately to spur growth and attract more people and businesses and the Theatre will likely be a cornerstone for the revitalization of the downtown area.
