This 2nd set opener (1st set was Welcome to My Nightmare) would’ve been a whole hell of a lot cooler if Halloween ‘07 had been in Blacksburg, instead of Ashevegas. I was lucky enough to be at this one, and I can tell you for a fact the roof got blown off. I am still slightly haunted still to this day by the Children of the Grave encore.
Our backdrop contains the fiery depths of Hell and our frontman is the Devil. What do you think Ocho will have as a backdrop? My bet is, it will be Teletubbies Wonderland and Gordo dressed as a…., well maybe we don’t need to get into that.

Old Friend - Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks
So, this year marks the 20th anniversary of Warren Haynes’s annual Xmas Jam. The hardest working man in show business jacked the amp up to 11 and blew the doors off the Asheville Civic Center yet again making this one of the most fun events of the southern music season. Basically, it goes down like this. Warren gets together all of his friends in one of the most heady towns in the country, and they jam non-stop for three days (including the xmas prejam). There are day shows, night shows, pre-shows and post shows. Everybody sits in with everybody, and musical goodness oozes like this:

Our name, The Butter Room, references an small, low-lit room in a Virginia Tech Fraternity with nothing but a few benches and tables. You go there to get away from all distractions and have a conversation, which is what we want to foster here: a place where you can get away from all the distractions of life to enjoy and discuss live music.
